Biography

At the age of five, Sarah told her mother she wanted to be a baby doctor when she grew up. Her lifelong obsession and passion for infants lead her to the University of Maryland Baltimore where she graduated with her MSN and pursued a career as a new graduate nurse in the level IV NICU at University of Maryland Medical Center. After a few years of loving on the city’s tiniest patients at the bedside, she returned to University of Maryland to attain her doctorate to practice as a neonatal nurse practitioner. She is thrilled to join the team at FNA and work alongside team members that share her passion for safe, evidenced-based, and family-centered care of sick and growing infants.

One of Sarah’s other passions in life are medical mission trips. In 2017 she traveled to Panama where she assisted in providing basic medical care to rural communities, and in 2022 she traveled to Kenya with African Impact to work in several village clinics and hospitals for women and children. In her free time, Sarah enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, and being outdoors – hiking, kayaking, riding motorcycles, or pheasant hunting with her German Shorthaired Pointer, Nova.
